These are the terms for using Ariova — a personal healthcare agent you text. By texting Ariova, using ariova.ai, or otherwise using the service, you agree to these terms. Please also read our Privacy Policy and, if you're in Washington State, our Consumer Health Data Policy — together they explain what we do with your information.
Ariova ("Ariova," "we," "us") is currently operated as a sole proprietorship by its founder, based in New York. Ariova provides a personal, conversational healthcare information service delivered by text message and, in the future, other messaging channels.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Ariova. By using the service, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
How you opt in: by texting Ariova first at (213) 727-4647 — either by tapping "Text Ariova to start" at ariova.ai, which opens a pre-addressed text in your phone's own Messages app, or by directly texting the keyword START to (213) 727-4647.
Message frequency varies based on your conversation with Ariova and any follow-ups you've asked for (capped at no more than 2 proactive check-ins per week).
Message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier.
Reply HELP for help, or contact support@ariova.ai. Reply STOP at any time to cancel — you will be unsubscribed immediately and receive a confirmation text.
Standard SMS is not end-to-end encrypted — your message travels over the normal cell network like any other text, in addition to the protections described in our Privacy Policy.
Ariova provides informational support only. It does not diagnose conditions, and does not prescribe or recommend medications or dosages. Using Ariova does not create a doctor-patient or other clinician relationship, and nothing Ariova says is a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of a qualified health provider with questions about a medical condition. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 — do not text Ariova.
Ariova is for your own personal, non-commercial use in managing your own health information. You agree not to: use the service to impersonate someone else or provide false health information about another person without their knowledge; attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service or the systems behind it; or use the service for any unlawful purpose.
You're responsible for the accuracy of what you tell Ariova and for keeping access to your phone secure, since your phone number is how Ariova recognizes you. See our Privacy Policy for what we collect, how long we keep it, and how to see, correct, or delete it.
Ariova is an early-stage service. We do our best to keep it available and responsive, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access, and features may change as the product develops. We'll never claim Ariova took an action (like sending a message or filing information) that it didn't actually take.
Ariova is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't warrant that the service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that any information Ariova provides is complete or accurate.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ariova and its founder will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data or health outcomes, arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law does not allow it to be limited (for example, liability for our own gross negligence or willful misconduct).
You can stop using Ariova at any time by texting STOP or emailing us to request account deletion. We may suspend or terminate access to the service, with notice where practical, for violations of these terms or misuse of the service.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where a user's state law (such as Washington's My Health My Data Act) provides protections that apply regardless of choice of law.
If we make a material change to these terms, we'll update the effective date above and, where required, notify you directly. Continued use of Ariova after a change means you accept the updated terms.
